Crochet Baby Fox Hat

I made this for my future nephew coming in March! I believe this is more for newborns but it does have quite a bit of stretch. I jammed about five different patterns into one plus my own innovation so if there are any mistakes or problems let me know and I'll do my best to correct them. Good luck!

Materials:
Yarn: White and brown in Red Heart Super Saver, Orange in Red Heart Soft
H hook

Beanie with ribbed edging:
Round 1) Dc 10 in magic ring, Join with sl st to top of first dc made. (10 dc)
Round 2) Ch 2, dc in same st, 2 dc in every st around. Join. (20 dc)
Round 3) Ch2, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from*, Join. (30 dc)
Round 4) Ch 2, * dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st. Repeat from*, Join. (40 dc)
Round 5-9) Ch 2, dc in every st around. Join. (40 dc)\
Round 10-11) Ch 2, *FPdc in next stitch, BPdc in next stitch* around. (40 dc)

Finish off and weave in ends.

Outer Ear (make 2).
With orange, ch 11.
Round 1) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 10 sc.
Round 2-3) Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
Round 4) Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 6 sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 8 sts.
Round 5) Ch 1. 1 sc in each st across. Turn.
Round 6) Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 6 sts.
Round 7) Ch 1. 1 sc in each st across. Turn.
Round 8) Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 4 sts.
Round 9) Ch 1. (Sc2tog) twice. Turn.
Round 10) Ch 1. Sc2tog. Fasten off. Leave a long tail to attach to beanie

Inner Ear (make 2).
With white, ch 9.
Round 1) 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch to end of ch. Turn. 8 sc.
Round 2-3) Ch 1. 1 sc in each sc across. Turn.
Round 4) Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 4 sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 6 sts.
Round 5) Ch 1. Sc2tog. 1 sc in each of next 2 sc. Sc2tog. Turn. 4 sts.
Round 6) Ch 1. (Sc2tog) twice. Turn.
Round 7) Ch 1. Sc2tog. Fasten off.

Stack the outer ear and inner ear and sc them together with orange starting and finishing about half an inch from the tip. Then finish off and do the tips of the ear in brown.

Attach your ears to the beanie and weave in all the ends and you are all done my friend!
